Academics

6 students work on an interactive project at a cluster of desks.

At Pingree, our commitment to data-driven instruction ensures that we are consistently refining our teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of our students. In the 2024-25 school year, we are prioritizing the growth of our students' writing skills, supplementing our math instruction with high-quality resources and materials, and enhancing our science instruction to empower our students as critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and life-long learners.

  • Our literacy instruction is based on the Wit and Wisdom and Fundations ELA curricula, which were introduced in the 2023-2024 school year. Both engage our students in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
  • Math instruction is rooted in the Big Ideas curriculum, which encourages students to explore mathematical concepts deeply and develop problem-solving skills.
  • Our science instruction is enriched by the fun and interactive Generation Genius curriculum, which brings science to life through engaging videos and hands-on activities.
  • Pingree is proud to be a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school, where we emphasize positive behavior and a supportive learning environment. Our PBIS framework helps us cultivate a school culture that encourages respect, responsibility, and safety, reinforcing positive behaviors through recognition and rewards.
